Precision Metal Stamping for HVAC Components
HVAC products often require formed metal components that support assembly, sealing, airflow control, structural stability, and system performance. These parts must fit precisely, perform consistently, and hold up across long production lifecycles.
By combining precision tooling with controlled manufacturing processes, PRESCO delivers HVAC metal stamping solutions designed for repeatability, production efficiency, and long-term part quality.

Manufacturing Capabilities for HVAC Applications
Some HVAC applications require hollow or formed geometries that cannot be efficiently produced through flat stamping alone. Deep drawn stamping forms flat metal into cups, shells, housings, enclosures, and other drawn shapes while maintaining material integrity, smooth surfaces, and consistent wall thickness.
It’s often used for HVAC housings, valve and regulator components, enclosures, shells, and other parts that require controlled material flow and repeatable geometry. We offer progressive and transfer/eyelet tooling strategies as part of our deep drawn stamping process.
Many HVAC components are produced in medium- to high-volume programs where repeatability and cost efficiency are essential. Progressive die stamping allows multiple operations, including piercing, forming, blanking, coining, and cutting, to occur within a single automated tool.
This process is commonly used for HVAC brackets, clips, retainers, terminals, mounting components, and formed metal parts where consistent dimensions and long-term production stability are critical.
Transfer and eyelet press operations provide additional flexibility when HVAC components require deeper draws, or better material utilization. Individual blanks move through multiple stations, allowing each stage of the process to be optimized independently.
These capabilities are especially useful for drawn HVAC components, specialty housings, valve-related parts, eyelets, and complex formed components where durability and dimensional control are important.
For flat HVAC components that require multiple cutting operations with precise dimensional control, compound die stamping provides an efficient, high-precision manufacturing solution. By combining blanking and piercing into a single press stroke, compound die stamping produces finished flat parts with excellent feature-to-feature accuracy, clean edges, and consistent quality.
Compound die stamping is commonly used for HVAC washers, shims, spacers, mounting plates, retaining components, and other precision flat parts where accurate fit, repeatability, and production efficiency are essential.
Why Manufacturers Choose HVAC Metal Stamping
HVAC metal stamping gives manufacturers a scalable way to produce durable, repeatable components while supporting cost-effective production and long-running programs.
Production Efficiency
Stamping allows large quantities of HVAC components to be produced quickly and consistently, helping manufacturers support demand while maintaining part quality and production reliability.
Repeatable Fit and Function
Precision tooling and controlled processes help ensure components are produced to specification, supporting reliable assembly, consistent performance, and reduced variation from run to run.
Long-Term Manufacturing Stability
HVAC products often remain in production for years. Metal stamping provides a stable manufacturing platform that can support ongoing demand while maintaining quality and consistency over the life of the program.
Material Efficiency
Compared to machining and other subtractive methods, stamping uses material efficiently and minimizes scrap, helping improve piece-part economics without compromising performance.
Quality & Process Control Built for HVAC Components
HVAC applications require components that perform reliably across assemblies, operating conditions, and production lifecycles. Dimensional accuracy, material consistency, and process control all contribute to dependable system performance.
At PRESCO, quality is engineered into every stage of production. Inspection methods are selected based on each part’s geometry, tolerance requirements, assembly needs, and functional application. Our quality capabilities include:
Programmable Mitutoyo CMM for dimensional verification and repeatability
Optical comparators for profile and feature inspection
Surface metrology for critical finishes and contact surfaces
Leak and burst testing for functional validation where required
Custom gauges and inspection fixtures developed for every part
